The Lucien S. Loeb Memorial Fund was established in 1985 through the generosity of the family of Lucien S. Loeb. An advisory committee and a director were appointed to ensure the original objective of the fund, which was to provide the seniors of Temple Beth Or with a Jewish connection through social events, activities, homebound visitations, and community service projects.

Today, L’Chaim League welcomes adults aged 50 and up, and includes members of Agudath Israel Etz Ahayem. L’Chaim League truly is a community organization, serving the entire local Jewish community. Some of the many activities members have enjoyed include:

          • Trips to theaters, museums, gardens, wineries, and special tours
          • Luncheons off and on site with guest speakers, authors, and book reviews
          • Regular visitations and holiday gift bags to our homebound seniors
          • Community service projects, such as our annual Thanksgiving luncheon and Bingo at the Capital Heights Place Senior Home
